WHY HELFRICH?

We are a fourth-generation family-owned and operated business in Oregon and Idaho. Getting started on the McKenzie River in 1922 and expanding out to explore other rivers from there, our family was among the first river outfitters in the west. Each individual guest on a Helfrich trip is a priority and we love taking the time to get to know each person that has the pleasure of riding in our boats. We recognize the opportunity that each day on the water presents, to provide our guests with a fun and memorable experience. Our primary goal for each trip is to provide a “trip with fishing” instead of just a fishing trip. While the fishing is always important, we also focus our attention on other features of the trip such as the food and accommodations and do our best to make them the greatest they can be. It is this focus on quality and our love of sharing the river that has become fondly known in the industry as “The Helfrich Way.”
